About 20 single men and women braved the uncharted territory — at least in terms of Bluffton — to represent the part of town that truly supports animals and amore. Though speed dating events are held in hundreds of cities across the United States on a weekly basis — mostly for professionals with busy schedules — it seems the desire to date is not as strong in Bluffton. The initial idea was to break up the participants into three age groups, but since most of the single population in Bluffton evidently decided to make it a movie rental night, our coordinators combined all three age groups to level the playing field. I simply met people — not unlike myself — who recognize that Bluffton is not the only front that is changing with the times. read more
