The bikini-clad Down Under teens who painted their cell phone numbers on their backs to attract boys engaged in risky business, experts say, and could benefit from some parental guidance on safe dating. The 14 and 15-year old Sydney sunbathers, who used blue zinc cream to paint on their numbers, were photographed on Manly Beach in Australia . Manly Police Commander Dave Darcy advised the kids to reflect on the implications of sharing their numbers ┠and American child behavior experts agree. But above all, giving out cell phone numbers in such a manner invites trouble, she says. Girls this age are afraid of being rejected, says Jonathan Alpert , a Manhattan -based psychotherapist, and displaying a phone number in this way eliminates direct rejection. read more
