Kelly Sotherton aces Olympic lie detector test (Daily Mirror)- About: Dating News

When Kelly Sotherton says she is going to win heptathlon gold at the Beijing Olympics, the Briton has scientific proof that she absolutely believes it. The 31-year-old, a bronze medallist in Athens four years ago, recently underwent a polygraph test conducted by Dr Harry Witchel, a leading psycho-physiologist from Brighton and Sussex Medical School. After a series of control questions, Sotherton was asked if she would win the Olympic title and her physiological responses indicated that her answer, “Yes, I will win gold in Beijing”, was genuine. Federer stunned by Blake in singles (Daily Mirror)- Dating News

Top seed Roger Federer was beaten 6-4 7-6 by American James Blake in the quarter-finals of the Olympic men’s singles on Thursday. The Swiss produced an error-strewn display under the Centre Court lights after a long rain delay and was outplayed as Blake claimed his first victory against Federer in nine meetings. Eighth seed Blake played two superb baseline rallies to close out the first set as Federer served at 5-4 down. Luck looked to be on Federer’s side when a nervy volley dribbled over off the net tape when Blake was two points away from victory in the 12th game of the second set.
